Neil McPhie

Neil McPhie was a coach with the TOFC program for many years and a familiar face in the Vernon soccer community. He passed away in the spring of 2016 after a heroic battle with brain cancer. His good humor and easy way of working with players of all ages is greatly missed. He touched the lives of many soccer players and inspired them to continue on their path in the sport that he loved. In an effort to honor Neil and preserve his memory and impact on the club, Thompson Okanagan FC created two $750 scholarships in Neil’s name to be awarded to two graduating TOFC players on an annual basis.

Neil McPhie Memorial Scholarship Program

Through its Neil McPhie Scholarship Program, TOFC is proud to support student-athletes from the Thompson Okanagan region who strive for excellence in their academic and athletic pursuits by providing them with financial support to achieve their goals. This support goes out in memory of Neil McPhie, a wonderful coach, mentor and friend to all at Thompson Okanagan FC over the years.
