Troy Flannery, who wears two hats as the Girls Academy Director for Calgary Foothills SC, and also as the Head Coach of the University of Calgary women’s program, noted “this is an exceptional event from both the perspective of the university coach and club coach – premier facilities, quality competition, access to required resources and superb overall organization. A must for both my calendars”.

Mike Whyatt, Director of Soccer Development for Soccer Nova Scotia, added “Soccer Nova Scotia are delighted to attend the BCSPL Showcase with our U16 & U17 Boys Provincial Programs to expose our local talent against some of the country’s best. We are hopeful with attending this showcase we can allow more players an opportunity to further their individual journey on the player development pathway”.

Kai Tolpinrud, GM of host club Thompson Okanagan FC, commented “TOFC is very proud to once again host the BCSPL university showcase in Kamloops. This event provides players throughout our league invaluable exposure to a large number of university coaches all in one location. One of the most satisfying results of our work at the club and in our league is to see graduating players move on to further their education while gaining a scholarship and furthering their soccer careers at a university”.
