Wil Calne will leave home this fall to join the Vancouver Whitecaps’ Pre-Residency Program on the Lower Mainland.
At first glance, Wil Calne doesn’t look a prodigious soccer talent.
At just 12 years old, he’s small, his thin frame coming in short of five-feet tall. He’s somewhat shy and quiet, as most kids his age are. He’s of few words when describing the virtues of his own game.
But put a ball at the feet of the diminutive centre-midfielder and his abilities are hard to ignore, so much so that the Vancouver Whitecaps have taken notice.
