Dwayne De Rosario scored twice, including a late penalty, to give Toronto FC a 2-1 win in their home opener against the Philadelphia Union.
The victory, before a BMO Field record crowd of 21,978, gave the Reds their first win of the season and dropped the expansion side to 1-2-0.
Philadelphia looked like the better team from the start, moving the ball well and creating several early half-chances.

On Monday, Toronto FC announced the signings of defenders Adrian Cann and Maksim Usanov.
Details of the deals were not announced and both players will be available pending the completion of their ITC's.
In addition, Usanov's availability is pending on the acquisition of his Canadian work permit.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Zack Schilawski became only the third MLS rookie to score a hat trick Saturday as New England used a second-half surge to dispatch Toronto FC 4-1 at Gillette Stadium.
New TFC captain Dwayne De Rosario opened the scoring after 28 minutes, but Schilawski responded two minutes after the break to draw the Revolution level. Schilawski scored twice more to complete his hat trick before Sainey Nyassi sealed the Revolution's second win on the trot.

Brennan was Toronto FC's first official signing in 2006 and has played in 84 matches with the Reds collecting 4 Goals and 4 Assists.

The burly striker isn't part of Preki's plans.
After just 11 games and one goal, Ali Gerba has left Toronto FC, the club announced today. The Canadian international joined MLS from MK Dons. However, the 28-year-old was earlier sent home from a preseason trip to South Carolina after underperforming.
